The Diamond Jubilee Fun Tournament took place on Saturday 30th June after being cancelled on the Tuesday Bank Holiday because of rain.
There were fourteen entries and they were greeted with warm sunny weather. Everyone was paired off and played in two groups of three and four pairs.
The format was a ‘Round Robin’ with each match consisting of eight games with a change of partner at four games and all players counting the number of games that they had won.
The top two ladies and men in each group went through to the semi final and the final was one normal set.
Prizes were awarded to Sam and Shane as the overall winners with the runners up being Robert and Gillian.
Prizes were also awarded to Megan for the best up and coming junior and Benji as the most improved player.
The next event will be the annual Club Tournament and details are on the club notice board with the closing date for entry being Monday 20th July 2012.
