Christmas Tournament

Tuesday 9th December 2008
This tournament was arranged for Tuesday morning the 9th December 2008 and was well supported with six pairs taking part.

The first round was played in boxes on a timed basis with the top two pairs going through to the semi-final. All the matches were very close and competitive and finished with Lorraine Robinson and Maggie Lintell meeting Joy Pawley and Bob Thomas in one semi and Anita Laidlaw and Arnold Melhuish meeting Di Bersey and Susie Reed in the second semi.

After some good competitive play it was Joy Pawley and Bob Thomas against Anita Laidlaw and Arnold Melhuish for the final with Joy Pawley and Bob Thomas coming out as winners.

The event was enjoyed by all and it is proposed that a similar tournament will take place at Easter.
